NFL Sunday games have passed, but not without leaving tyre marks on the backs of numerous fantasy football participants. Injuries in the NFL are never good, but this week was especially horrible because the fantasy playoffs were starting this week and several players were in must-win circumstances.

Pro football is a tough game played by powerful athletes at breakneck pace. As a result, it stands to reason that injuries have a big impact on whether or not clubs win in February.

Many players have been seriously injured in NFL Sunday games, including Ken Walker, Dallas Goedert, Darren Waller, Trevor Lawrence, and Lamar Jackson.

Let us look into the injury status of each:

Ken Walker’s Injury Situation

Ken Walker had an ankle injury on Sunday, but it wasn’t your normal ankle injury. The majority of ankle injuries, commonly referred to as sprains, involve tearing or stretching of the ankle’s ligaments.

Walker strained his ankle by jamming it. A strain differs from this in that it causes harm to the muscle or tendon that surrounds the joints and connects the muscle to the bone.

Walker did not practise on Wednesday, according to reports, making his Week 14 participation highly doubtful. According to reports, his injury risk is rather high, and he should not participate this weekend.

His HPF is below average, thus if he plays, the injury to his ankle will have an effect on his performance.

Dallas Goedert Injury Report

In Week 10, multiple opponents pounced on Goedert with his arm exposed, grabbing him by the face mask and causing a significant left shoulder injury. After scans confirmed a fracture, he was placed on IR.

It was most likely an avulsion fracture, which occurs when a little bone fragment connected to a tendon or ligament separates. It is less harmful than most other types of fractures.

His injury could take 6 to 8 weeks to heal completely. Goedert can heal from his injury as quickly as he can if he maintains his treatment for several weeks.

Injury Status of Darren Waller

Waller hasn’t played since Week 4 due to a hamstring ailment. Waller, unlike Goedert, has a somewhat less favourable outlook and is eligible to return from IR the following week.

He was poised to make a comeback last month when he aggravated his injury, forcing him to go on indefinite leave. Hamstring strains can be particularly painful for a big guy like Waller.

Waller’s injury risk is quite high, and he will not be a viable fantasy contributor this season.

Trevor Lawrence’s Injury Situation

Trevor Lawrence had his leg caught and strangely twisted when he was brought down. The mechanism of damage frequently leads in a high ankle sprain or a knee sprain. His condition is now being described as a toe injury, according to reports.

The foot became entangled beneath him, his leg twisted, and the big toe became jammed and bent downward, shattering the ligament at the base of the big toe. According to the report, turf toe is a possibility due to Lawrence’s injury.

He should be considered questionable for Week 14 because he missed practise on Wednesday and Thursday. Lawrence has a below-average HPF and a high risk of injury.

Injury Status of Lamar Jackson

Jackson’s left knee injury will most likely keep him out for several weeks. He was sacked from behind and slammed into the ground, spraining his PCL (posterior cruciate ligament).

The PCL, which runs around the back of the knee just behind the ACL, is one of the four knee ligaments important for stability. This one prevents the tibia from moving too far from the thigh.

Jackson’s recuperation is likely to take between 1-3 weeks. He could play in Week 16, but he won’t be at full strength. According to sources, Lawrence could be out of commission for 4-6 weeks.
