The founder of Rhode Beauty Hailey Bieber claims Justin ‘closing the chapter’ with Gomez was the ‘greatest thing’ that ever happened to him.

After years of fan suspicion that she’stole’ Justin Bieber from Selena Gomez, Hailey Bieber has put the record straight about the timing of her and Justin Bieber’s relationship.

The model, 26, insisted to Call Her Daddy podcast host Alexis Cooper that Justin, 25, had not cheated on Gomez, 30, with her.

‘No, not once,’ she said, adding that she and Justin started ‘hooking up’ after he’d already broken up with his old on/off girlfriend in early 2018.

‘When him and I started hooking up, or anything of that sort, he was not in any relationship, It’s not my character to mess with someone’s relationship, I was raised better than that,’ Hailey stressed.

Justin and Hailey reignited their passion in mid-2018 after a prior relationship in 2016. They got engaged in July and married two months later.

‘I understand how it looks from the outside, but that was a situation where I know for a fact that it was the right thing for [Justin and Selena] to close that door, but of course, there’s a very long history there and I respect that a lot.

‘I don’t want to talk on either one of their behalf’s,’ she explained.

Fans of both musicians felt emotionally invested in their widely publicised ‘Jelena’ romance because Justin and Selena dated on and off for about a decade.

So, when they split up and he went on with Hailey, she became the focus of online ire and fan speculations.

‘A lot of the hatred stems from things like “oh you stole him” and the fact that he wishes he had ended up with someone else.’ That’s OK; you may wish all you want, but it’s not true.’

‘There’s a certain numbness that you get when you come across nasty comments and posts from ‘Jelena’ fans,’ she remarked.

‘It still happens to this day, if I was to go live right now, it would still be happening. You reach a point where you have to ignore it,’ she told Cooper.

‘If we have moved on, why can’t you?’

Earlier in the day, a snippet from Hailey’s Call Her Daddy interview was teased online which touched on rumors that there was some crossover between her and Selena.

‘This is so crazy I’ve literally never talked about this ever,’ the model responded after Cooper remarked on how the public was ‘obsessed’ with the relationship between Justin and Selena.

Then Cooper inquired directly, ‘Were you ever romantically involved with Justin at the same time as [Selena]?’

Bieber stated that she wanted to finally address the allegations that she stole Justin from Selena. ‘It’s about making sure people know the truth.’ ‘Because there is a truth,’ Hailey added, albeit the ‘truth’ was not revealed in the video.

Justin and Selena began dating in 2010.

Justin, the former Disney star, was about 16 at the time.

The couple’s first major break occurred in 2012, and it was followed by a string of makeups and breakups until 2018.

Justin was last spotted with Selena in March of that year.

The public first learned about the Sorry singer’s connection with Hailey in June, and following a quick courtship, the couple married in a New York courthouse ceremony in September 2018.

The next year, Hailey and Justin were married in a religious ceremony.

Selena spoke on NPR in January 2020 to promote her album, Rare, discussing her nearly decade-long relationship with the Love Yourself musician.

The Lose You to Love Me singer claimed that the song assisted her in digesting her split with Justin, and that in doing so, she realised the relationship was good.

‘It’s risky to maintain a victim mindset. And I’m not being disrespectful; I believe I was a victim of some kind of abuse….’

During his late teens, Justin displayed some explosive conduct, including arrests for drunk driving and vandalism. In the documentary series Justin Bieber: Seasons, the Confident singer admitted to being a drug abuser.

‘It was just a way for me to go away.’ I was just a kid, you know, like everyone else in the industry and throughout the world who experiments and does typical growing up stuff.’

‘But my experience was in front of cameras, and I had a different level of exposure to people, and I had a lot of money and a lot of things,’ he continued. So then you have all these people hanging on to me, wanting things from me, knowing that I was living this lifestyle that they also wanted to live—drinking, smoking.’

Instead of going to treatment, the superstar resorted to his pastor for help in getting sober. The Beautiful Love musician stated in June 2022 that he had been diagnosed with Ramsey Hunt syndrome, which caused partial facial paralysis and made it impossible for him to perform. He cancelled the rest of his global tour earlier this month after pausing his scheduled concert at the time of the diagnosis.

When Lulu Garcia-Navarro inquired if Selena was referring to emotional abuse, she replied, ‘Yes, and I believe that’s something I had to find a way to comprehend as an adult.’

‘And I had to comprehend the decisions he was making,’ she went on. ‘As much as I don’t want to spend the rest of my life talking about it, I’m really glad to say that I feel the strongest I’ve ever felt and that I’ve found a way to just go through it with as much grace as possible.’

Since then, the Calm Down singer has become a mental health advocate, creating the Wondermind website earlier this year. The website provides solutions to assist with a variety of challenges and attempts to de-stigmatize mental health issues.
