Block co-founded DC Shoes in 1984. Block became a well- known motorsports figure after selling his company in 2004.

In 2008, Block uploaded the first of 10 Gymkhana videos to YouTube. In these videos, he did stunt driving, drifting, and creative things with his surroundings.
