Strange behaviour of birds in Kyoto Japan. People worry that it is a sign of impending merger
A video of thousands of crows gathering in the city of Kyoto, Japan is doing the rounds on the net. Thousands of crows flew across the sky in Honshu, Japan and landed on the streets of the Japanese island near Kyoto.
If you have the power to understand nature more than humans, the answer is yes. Can crows and dogs detect nature’s anger in advance? It is known that videos of crows behaving strangely a few moments before the occurrence of natural disasters like tsunami and earthquake are going viral on social media. Thousands of crows flew across the sky in Honshu, Japan and landed on the streets of the Japanese island near Kyoto. A video that is going viral on social media shows the birds streaming down the streets of Honshu island in a mysterious manner.
Similarly, it is known that birds exhibited unusual behavior moments before the devastating earthquake in Turkey last few days. A huge number of birds were seen chirping and roaming in the sky. Then some say that the reason why the birds behave in such an unusual way is to detect the earthquake disaster in advance.
Moreover, in November 2022, a video of a group of sheep walking continuously in a circle for more than 10 days in China is being remembered. Footage taken from a farm in Inner Mongolia, northern China, has gone viral on social media. Netizens are reacting to this video and commenting that animals and birds can sense disasters in advance. So the birds realize in advance that something bad is going to happen in Japan.
Well all the above is just fake and falsely claimed. Here are the real facts :
The devastating earthquake in Turkey has triggered a host of misinformation around it, among which are videos showing birds exhibiting unnatural behaviour. Some of the videos have been debunked, including this one by Newschecker, which found that the viral video was shot over the Houston freeway in the US, in 2017.
Fact check
Newschecker ran a reverse image search of keyframes of the video, which led us to this report, on a Mexican publication dated January 26, 2023, stating that hundreds of birds invaded a few houses in Mexico.
On comparing, we noticed that the houses seen in the viral video and in the photos featured in the article were identical, confirming that they were from the same event. However, the article did not state the reason for the erratic behaviour of the birds, but revealed that the viral video was first shared on TikTok by one @josueresndiz.
A clearer version of the video was featured on this MSN webpage, stating “Massive flock of birds gather on single street”.
We closely analysed the licence plate of one of the vehicles that was seen in the video and saw the words “Guanajuato” on it, which we learnt is a central Mexican state, confirming that the incident was in Mexico.
Conclusion
Video of a massive flock of birds invading a neighbourhood in Mexico falsely claimed to be from Japan.
