After a weather-related mishap, Jeremy Renner is in critical but stable condition.

“We can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries sustained in a weather-related mishap while ploughing snow earlier today,” Renner’s representative confirmed. “His family is there for him, and he is getting fantastic care.”

According to the Reno Gazette Journal, Renner has had a residence in Washoe County, Nevada, for numerous years, but the location of the accident has not been confirmed. According to the publication, that area in northern Nevada had considerable snowfall on New Year’s Eve.

Renner shared an Instagram shot of a snowcat vehicle in 2015, which is designed to navigate across challenging icy terrain.

In 2017, the actor claimed that while filming the comedy “Tag,” he shattered his right elbow and left wrist.

Renner has played Clint Barton/Hawkeye in several Marvel films since the 2011 feature “Thor.” Renner, in addition to being an Avenger, has appeared in a number of critically and commercially successful films, including two films in the “Mission: Impossible” series, “Arrival,” “American Hustle,” and “28 Weeks Later.” He has also been nominated for two Academy Awards, including one for best supporting actor for his portrayal in “The Hurt Locker.”

He is now starring in the second season of Taylor Sheridan’s “Mayor of Kingstown,” which premieres in January. He also just revealed “Rennervations,” an unscripted series he’ll star in on Disney Plus in 2023.

In a new biopic from Hell or High Water producer Julie Yorn, Jeremy Renner will play David Armstrong, the Pulitzer-winning investigative writer who helped reveal the Sackler family’s links to the US drug epidemic.

Aron Gaudet and Gita Pullapilly will write and direct the untitled movie, which Yorn will produce alongside 101 Studios, who will present it to buyers in Cannes.

Armstrong helped reveal how the Sackler family was involved in the aggressive marketing of Purdue’s painkiller OxyContin, which contributed to the national opioid epidemic that has killed more than 450,000 Americans over the last two decades, in a series of articles based on secret emails and documents. He revealed that Purdue co-chairman and president Richard Sackler supported a corporation scheme to deceive doctors about the drug’s strength.

The Sackler family’s role in selling OxyContin has already been dramatised for film, with the story told in the Disney+ limited series Dopesick, in which Michael Stuhlbarg played Richard Sackler.
